Phuket Geography
Phuket is a hilly island, with a low range running down the centre and headlands separating each of the bays on its west side. Waterfalls, lush vegetation, sea views and of course the limestone karsts all add to the interesting topography of Phuket, and make it a wonderful island to explore.
The island of Phuket protects Phang Nga Bay, which dwells between the island and the Thai mainland to the east. Phang Nga bay is famous for its remarkable limestone karst formations that can only be found in a few places around the world. Phang Nga Bay and the Phi Phi Islands are popular tourist destinations for day trips and diving.
Phuket Weather
Forget spring, summer, autumn and winter Phuket is tropical. Phuket is always hot with a fairly consistent temperature all year round, with lows in the mid-20s (Celsius) and peak temperatures into the mid-30s. March and April are the hottest months, while November through January is the coolest time of year.
